Presentation: |
Teacher will explain this concept to student: When you take
a breath through your nose or
mouth, the air is warmed and humidified, and
then moved through your voice box and down the windpipe. From there, it travels down two bronchial
tubes that enter the lungs. A thin flap of tissue, the epiglottis, blocks your windpipe when
you swallow to prevent food and
liquid from entering. |

on the board, and then have the students try to figure out major function of Biotechnology
in human body. |
Presentation: |
Teacher will explain this concept to student: Neurons are cells within
the nervous system
that transmit information to other nerve cells, muscle, or gland cells. Most neurons
have a cell body, an axon, and
dendrites. The cell body contains the nucleus and cytoplasm. The axon extends from the cell body and often gives
rise to many smaller branches
before ending at nerve terminals. Dendrites
extend from the neuron cell body and receive messages from other neurons. Synapses are the contact points
where one neuron
communicates with another. The dendrites are covered with synapses formed by the ends of
axons from other neurons. |

Teacher will explain this concept to student: Reflex is an involuntary and sudden response to stimuli. It happens to be an integral component of the famed
survival instinct. Most of the common
reflexes are a response to all the well-trained, accumulated knowledge of caution that we have internalized. It
could be anything and ranges
from the reflex

hand as it comes in contact with an extremely cold or hot object. This action is termed as the reflex
action. It has a subtle relation to instinct. |

acidic and highly corrosive in nature. It is rain with high levels of hydrogen ions (low pH). It may be defined as "rain water having pH less than
5.6". |

the board, and then have the students try to figure out major function of Deforestation. |
Presentation: |
Teacher will explain this concept to student: Deforestation
is when forests are destroyed by cutting
trees (logging) and not replanting them. The most
common reason is to clear
the land to
make farms and
ranches. They also cut trees for firewood and lumber and to make room for cities.
Deforestation destroys the habitat of many animals, leading to their death. The loss is more severe
in so called primary forests, which are forests
that have yet
been untouched by humans. |

Introduction: |
The Teacher will write
some basic information about Profit, Loss and Discount. On the board, and then have the students try to
figure out major function of Profit, Loss and
Discount. |
Presentation: |
Teacher will explain this concept to student: Profit
and Loss formula is used in mathematics to determine the price of a commodity in the market
and understand how profitable a business is.
Every product has a cost price and selling price.
Based on the
values of these
prices, we can calculate the profit gained
or the loss
incurred for a particular product. The important terms covered here are cost price, fixed, variable and
semi-variable cost, selling price, marked price, list price, margin, etc. |
Review: |
Teacher will ask the following question to review the
lesson: 1. What do you
mean by profit? 2. A man sold a fan for Rs. 465.
Find the cost
price if he incurred a loss
of 7%. 3.
A man bought
some toys at the rate of 10 for Rs. 40 and sold them
at 8 for Rs. 35. Find his gain or loss percent. |
Summative Evaluation: (Recapitulation) |
Teacher will ask
the different question regarding 1. A man
bought some toys at the rate of 10 for Rs. 40 and sold them at 8 for Rs.
35. Find his gain or loss
percent. 2. The
cost price of 10 pens is the same as the selling price of n pens.
If there is a loss
of 40%, approximately what is the value of n? |
